Black & White

These past two weeks have been extremely busy for me. I am an accounting major and attend school full-time. With that being said, my days have been filled with back-to-back exams, career fairs, and interviews for potential internships.

I am so happy that I finally have the time to update my blog. I missed you guys so much! Yesterday, my photographer and I were finally reunited and got straight to shooting some great outfits. We decided to go to the Renaissance Center in Detroit. Shooting in the city is always a blast for us. There are so many beautiful buildings and places here in Detroit, that is why I love exploring the city and getting to know my hometown.

When in doubt, you can never go wrong with a black and white look. I paired my ripped jeans, from Zara, with a white button down shirt and decided to top it all off with my FAVORITE vintage Lanvin necklace (a little red never hurt anybody, right?). A look like this is simple and can be dressed up or down.

What are some of your favorite go to looks?

The Perfect Flats

A girl can never have too many flats. Do not get me wrong, I love heels as much as the next girl but if you are anything like me, you cannot be in heels all day. My days are usually pretty busy and I just could not imagine wearing anything but flats, especially as I walk around campus or run errands.

Charlotte Olympia and Miu Miu are two of my favorite shoe designers. Their designs are always so fun!

Shop my favorite flats by clicking the link below each shoe!

On September 27th, I attended Fashion In Detroit at MotorCity Casino's Sound Board theatre.

StyleShack invited me to the event. They are a platform that connects you to neighborhood boutiques, specialty stores and unique e-tailers. StyleShack helps you discover new retailers and make the most of your own unique style.

When I arrived to the event, I hung out at the StyleShack lounge where I got to to meet the team and other local bloggers! Adjacent to the lounge were tables showcasing local vendors. After shopping around for a bit, I went to take my seat as the show was soon to begin.

The event was a fun filled day of fashion that showcased collections from local designers and brands in Detroit, as well as well-known designer brands. Some of the collections that were shown included the latest from Kate Spade, Intermix, Max Mara, LK Bennet, Neiman Marcus, Halston Heritage, Gucci, and Eileen Fisher!
